Irawati Hermawan
Managing Partner

Irawati Hermawan received a law degree from the Padjadjaran University in 1992 and a master’s degree from the University of Indonesia. She also completed her education as a notary specialist in 1999 at Padjadjaran University, and  is currently studying for her doctorate at the same university.

Irawati advises primarily on corporate and commercial matters, and is regarded as a well-known transaction lawyer for various types of commercial deals. She has a strong infrastructure, project finance, regulatory, public procurement and regional finance practice.

She is currently head of the Infrastructure & Project Finance practice, advising several notable clients including  PT Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta, PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), PT Pembangunan Jaya, PT WijayaKarya (Persero), and Foster Wheeler Iberia S.L.U. She has also worked with several multilateral development banks, such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank, and a number of internationally-recognized consulting companies including Boston Consulting Group, PT Mott Macdonald Indonesia, Poyry GmbH, and PA Consulting.

Her professional experience includes:

  • Advising on the IDR17 trillion development of the Mass Rapid Transit system in DKI Jakarta.
  • Advising on the development of a six batch toll road in DKI Jakarta.
  • Advising on the development of a bus rapid transit system in DKI Jakarta.
  • Advising on the establishment of the Indonesian Infrastructure Fund (now PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance) with an initial capital investment equal to US$10million, including fund and loan channeling from the ADB and the World Bank totalling US$100 million.
  • Advising on the preparation of a municipal bonds issue, which is expected to be issued by fourth quarter of 2012.
  • Advising on the expansion of Cigading Port, a port operated by a subsidiary of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero).
  • Advising on a transaction for Tangerang Regency (Sepatan) Water Supply Services.
  • Advising LKPP (the Indonesian Public Procurement Agency) on new public procurement regulation (Presidential Regulation No. 54 of 2010), funded by AusAID through the ISP3 program.
  • Assisting Bapennas (the National Planning Agency) in the review of infrastructure regulatory framework and providing strategic advice for potential infrastructure projects funded by ADB though the SID program.
